You will find the pigeon in Madrid, Columba livia, and the sparrow, Passer domesticus which inhabit the parks and green areas of this city all year round. It is also possible to see swifts, Apus apus, and robins, Erithacus rubecula which usually appear only at certain times.

It should be noted that in Madrid there are parks such as the Retiro, Casa de Campo, the Dehesa de la Villa, and others where the bird lovers or simply the one who wants to see these beautiful beings of nature can spend an unforgettable moment of contemplation and sighting.

The pigeons deserve a separate mention because they are undoubtedly one of the most common birds in the city of Madrid, and in our walk, we will find the domestic, Columba livia, (classic pigeon common in many cities), the Zurita, Columba oenas, (similar to the domestic but smaller), and the woodpigeon, Columba palumbus, (large in size with some white spots on the neck).

Other birds that can be seen in Madrid are the blackbird, Turdus merula, the magpie, Pica pica, the common crane, Grus grus, the jilguero, Carduelis carduelis, the white stork, Ciconia ciconia, the royal heron, Ardea cinerea and the large cormorant, Phalacrocorax carbo.

It is clear that in this city of Germany the admirer of birds will the classic city sparrow as a welcome (common sparrow, Passer domesticus) in significant quantities. It can also be found the domestic pigeon, Columba livia, and the miller sparrow, Passer montanus to a lesser extent.
