The Three-eyed Raven of Game of Thrones

Watch out! If you have not seen the last chapter of Game of Thrones yet, be careful! In this article, I will tell you more than a spoiler about the figure of the three-eyed raven.

In today’s article for Sexadodeaves.com, we want to talk about a species of bird well known through the series that has marked a generation, Game of Thrones that finished its cycle last Monday.

If you have already seen the last chapter of the series, you already know that Bran Stark (new three-eyed raven) ends up being a king after being chosen by the Council of the 6 West kingdoms.

A perceptive character like the Ravens because of its ability to divine the present and future events.

But what does this mystical figure hide that fascinates so many people?

Keep on reading because I’ll tell you more about this interesting bird species that plays the role of the Three-eyed Raven.

Corvus Corax

It is also called Common Crow which is a kind of passeriform bird from the family Corvidae.

This kind of bird gets our attention due to its intelligence, as we will see later.

The Corvus corax is mainly found throughout the northern hemisphere. It is one of the crow species with the largest distribution area.

Its beak is thick, being the heaviest and largest of this family of birds. When they reach maturity, they usually measure between 52 and 69 cm in length, with a weight that varies between 0.69 and 1.7 kg.

This species has an estimated life of 10 to 15 years old, although there have been cases of individuals that have lived 40 years old.

Like the Lovebirds, when they form couples they stay together all their lives and defend their territories very fiercely. They are territorial birds and it is better not to disturb them!

There is a special feature in these birds: they are spiteful. We know that crows are spiteful, that they practice strange funerary rites, they weep to their dead and they are able to build and handle rudimentary tools.
